Iminostilbene Carbonyl Chloride is Used as an intermediate in medicine, it is mainly used in the synthesis of carbamazepine.
Iminostilbene Carbonyl Chloride was produced by the followings:
2,2′ -dinitrobiphenyls were synthesized by condensation of 2-nitrotoluene with sodium methanol.then 2,2′ -diaminobzyl was reduced with iron powder and hydrochloric acid. The phosphate of the latter is cyclized under heating conditions to obtain 10, 11-dihydro-5h-dibenzene-azo [B, F], which is then chlorinated with phosgene and finally brominated and eliminated (debrominated hydrogen) to produce the product.
